SATILLA RIVER GEOGRAPHIC INFORMATION SYSTEMS DATA
GIS data sets are arranged within
watersheds by category. All GIS files are binary, zipped (using pkzip,
winzip or equivalent) PC Arc/Info coverages. At the present time, you must
have Arc/Info available to be able to use these files after downloading
them. Coverages will be converted to ArcView format in the future and
methods to make these files accessible to those without the above software
are being explored. Please note that the Other category contains
spreadsheet files (MS Excel 7.0) that contain information on calculation of
water volumes and average discharge for the five rivers, plus a BMP file
illustrating the method of water volume calculation. For information on how
