River for Survey cruise, August, 1998

7.  Research Locations: In addtion to stations in St. Andrew Sound and
Satilla river proper, there are stations in a tributary, White Oak Creek.
W05 in 5 km from creek mouth, W10 is 10 km from creek mouth, W15 is 15 km
from creek mouth, and W17 is at US Highway 17.

8.  Methods:  Precision Winklers of unfiltered river water before and after
12 h incubations at in-situ temperature in dark incubators aboard R/V Blue
Fin.  See Pomeroy et al. 1994.  Appl. Environ. Microbiol. 60: 328-332 for
detailed methods.

9.  Notes: This cruise was interrpted by a hurricane, which passed offshore
but produced rain.  Data on Aug. 28 are post-hurricane. Some samples are
outside the inlet, E. G. minus 4 km (-4).
