(8) EXPERIMENTAL DESIGNS AND METHODS: Casts were taken with a SeaBird Electronics CTD25 (S/N 64). After soaking at the surface for approximately 45 seconds, the CTD was lowered to the bottom by a power winch and then raised to the surface. The collected data's downcasts were processed using standard SeaBird software to produce the 1m vertical bin averages. (9) NOTES AND COMMENTS: Each cast has a header that contains information in the following order: cast number, date, time (EST), max water depth (M), latitude (N in degrees and minutes), and longitude (W in degrees and minutes).
